What Is Trubody

Trubody involves the use of the TRUSCULPT ID to kill fat and tighten skin.  Trusculpt ID reduces the fat layer by 24% in one session!

TRUSCULPT FLEX builds muscle and tones the tissue making you tighter and stronger and increase energy consumption/fat loss through muscle activation.

Sometimes, exercise and diet alone are not enough to achieve the look you desire. Dr. Timothy Abrahamson from Greater Des Moines Dermatology understands the struggle. He provides two forms of clinically-proven methods of body sculpting. They shape the areas of your body that have not responded to other weight-loss and muscle toning methods. These are Trusculpt iD and Trusculpt flex. Below are some common questions we receive about our Trusculpt services in Urbandale, IA, and serving Des Moines, IA to help you decide which one is best for you.

What Is Trusculpt?

The Trusculpt system consists of several different methods aimed at customizable body sculpting. We offer Trusculpt iD and Trusculpt flex for the trubody experience

Trusculpt iD

Trusculpt iD is for fat reduction. It involves using a handheld device that emits radiofrequency waves to deep heat the underlying tissues. This results in the obliteration of adipose tissue and promotes tightening of the skin.  It is the only device that tightens the skin and reduces the fat layer by 24% in one session!

Trusculpt FLEX

Trusculpt flex uses electrical stimulation for muscle sculpting. This revolutionary treatment significantly decreases the amount of time that you spend in the gym. With Trusculpt flex, you can achieve the equivalent of thousands of reps and months in the gym in a single 45-minute session.

Which One Is Right for Me?

The answer to this question depends on your goals. Trusculpt iD is the better choice if you are looking to reduce deposits of fat that are resistant to exercise. Trusculpt flex is the better choice when your goal is to increase muscle mass and toning when your fat levels are where you are happy with them.   Both therapies complement each other. For the best results, a TRUBODY approach is best.

How Long Do the Sessions Last?

A session of Trusculpt iD takes 15 minutes to an hour, depending on the number of areas you want to treat. Trusculpt flex is similar, a session takes on average 45-minutes.  Trusulpt Flex PLUS is coming with a 15 minute treatment session!

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

For Trusculpt iD, generally, you will only need 1 or two treatments. We can treat multiple areas of the body in one session. Subsequent sessions may be needed if wanting more than a 24% reductiion in the fat layer.

For the Trusculpt flex system, results can be achieved in one session. As this is stimulating NEW muscle and tightening the muscle layer.  A series of sessions is advised then moving to maintenance every quarter.  It can be done weekly to start if wanting rapid results.

Right here in Urbandale, IA, and serving the Greater Des Moines region we can get you maximal results in 12 weeks after the Trusulpt ID treatment.  Trusculpt FLEX and FLEX PLUS results continue to build with each session and only compliment each other.

Is either Treatment Painful?

Both treatments are minimally invasive and pain-free. You may experience a slight discomfort and tingling sensation with Trusculpt flex but no one has reported pain. Tursculpt iD has the potential to produce a minimal amount of discomfort (particularly if you are sensitive to heat.) If you feel discomfort, your provider can adjust the level of heat to your tolerance.
